ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
Do you love to organize cultural events? Do you know how to work with clay and ceramic? Are you good in creating shapes and objects of mud? Then we invite you to be part of our 8-month Erasmus+ volunteering mobility, in Târgu Frumos, Iaşi, Romania. Our organisation, active since 2009, was involved in more than 300 local and international projects. After many years of hard work we managed to open a creative and beautiful youth-center that supports and engages local artists, local producers, youth, passionate people, in the spirit of volunteering. ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
We will provide accommodation in single/double room, in a rented villa. You will receive 150 euro/month (food money) and 3 euro/per day (pocket money). These money are enough for the living standards in Targu Frumos. We will reimburse the travel costs based on a lump sum and we will help you figure out how to reach us. Târgu Frumos is a small and safe town (10.000 people), close to Iaşi, considered the cultural capital of Romania and second biggest city in the country.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
European Solidarity Corps will provide for you two free training: on-arrival and mid-term. In these training you will meet and make friends among other volunteers that decided to serve a cause in Romania. In our organisation, we will provide you training to understand our work, to learn non-formal methods, you will attend intensive Romanian language courses and you will be part of all the youth exchanges, training and seminars we will organize in our community under Erasmus. Also, we support peer-learning, so we will have many chances to learn from each other.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
We are looking for a volunteer that wants to learn, to explore, to initiate, to create based on his/her passions. He or she should be able to communicate in English, be aged between 18-30 years old and able to start in May 2021. For those interested to learn to design their own projects and activities, this mobility is a great opportunity. During the project, we will do our best to support your ideas!
