Lüksemburg’da 12 Ay ESC Gönüllülük Projesi

CELL is a non-profit organisation that provides ann experimental space for thinking, researching, disseminating and practising post-carbon lifestyles and regenerative culture. CELL aspires towards living sustainably by example and endorses integral, systemic thinking and action; fostering a culture of solidarity and collaboration; skilling up for living well in a post-carbon economy. The volunteer will be part of a core team of 4-8 people who are themselves building the Äerdschëff, an ecological and participative construction project. The building has to be built/finished by the end of 2021. During the coming months we will finish the construction of the Äerdschëff, so the volunteer will have the opportunity to help with any task that comes up like: – building interior walls with different materials like wood, rammed earth and/or other materials – plaster walls with adobe/clay – build floors – lay tiles – design and build furniture

The volunteer will have the possibility to live in a house with many other European volunteers in a small place in the countryside called Marienthal. A rental car is available to the volunteer to drive to the Äerdschëff site. We meet every day on site to continue with the construction works. Generally for lunch we eat all together at the site.

Till now no training is planned, but there might be the possibility to take part at a permaculture training (not certain yet). We are two people employed at the Project Äerdschëff, trying to support the volunteers in the best way possible on an every basis.

We are looking for very motivated young people who are passionate about ecological construction and want to help building the Äerdschëff. To take on tasks independently is a must considering the small team. Having experience in construction works would be a great advantage. There is a lot of manual work to be done every day. As the project comes to an end, we have quite some pressure to finish in time thus this volunteering service can be considered rather demanding. If you have some experience in and like working manually and in a team, this is the exact right project for you.
